Bilge pickup types and specifications
The standard bilge pickup pictured below is designed to pull liquids from a flat bottom compartment. The filter pad on the lower side of the pickup acts like a sponge which will capture debris thousands of times before the pad is rendered useless or clogged. Floating grease is the only known cause of a clog, otherwise expect these pads to become cosmetically challenged only after three years, when they are swapped out for the spares provided. The heavy plastic version shown below measures 4 1/4" wide x 2 3/4" deep x 1 3/4" high. Available options to the standard pickup are the "mini" which measures 3" wide x 2" deep x 1 3/4" high. Also available in unfinished aluminum measuring 4 1/8" wide x 3" deep x 1 3/4" high. Duplicate pickups are provided with Series 4 & 9 Systems.
The offset pickup pictured below is designed to rest with the pushlock fitting side against the bottom of a V compartment. These are ideal for the forward V compartment or alongside the keel on a wooden vessel. The plug and pushlock fittings can be exchanged in order to use the other side of the pad. These pickups can also be cut in half lengthwise producing two long and narrow pickups suitable for a keel sump. The heavy plastic version shown below measures 4 1/4" wide x 2 3/4" deep x 1 3/4" high. The unfinished aluminum version measures 4 1/8" wide x 3" deep x 1 3/4" high. Duplicate pickups are provided with seies 4 & 9 Systems.

The pickup wands pictured below are the most versatile of our designs. They appear a little crude, but the benefit is that the long stem can be hand bent in the field to any shape required and then secured with cable tie mounts. These pickups will also fit into the very narrow tight compartments. The pickup wand is connected with a small section of hose, and clamps are provided. The pad on the wand can also be changed in the field, extending it's life indefinitely. Spares are not provided with this style of pickup.
The mini pickup wand on left below is standard equipment for Series 2 systems and measures 4" wide x 5/8" deep x 10" high. The 5/32" intake tubing is inserted into the clear connecting tube and holds in place without clamps.
The wand on center is for Series 4 systems and has a sleeve of heat shrink tubing attached. This is placed over the 3/16" intake tubing during installation for a proper seal. The mid sized wand measures 6" wide x 5/8" wide x 15" high.
The larger wand on right is for Series 9 systems. Approximate dimensions before hand bending are 6 3/4" wide x 3/4" deep x 22" high.
